We have Registered Massage Therapists & Chiropractors that provide FST
Do you struggle with lingering tightness or tension? If you find it challenging to get through the day without feeling tight and sore, you may benefit from Registered Massage Therapy at For Health’s Sake. Your fascia is the network of connective tissue running through your entire body. It surrounds your muscles, nerves, bones, joints, and organs and enables all body systems to coordinate with one another. Unfortunately, many injuries to the body involve the fascia, but with fascial stretch therapy, you can help resolve many of these problems.
What is Fascial Stretch Therapy?
Fascial stretch therapy is a form of assisted stretching that focuses on alleviating tension in the fascia to help achieve optimal strength, flexibility, pain relief, and performance.
Injuries to the fascial system can lead to limitations in your daily activities and recreational exercises. Disruption to the fascial system can also play a role in developing pain, including lower back pain and neck pain.
How FST can help you find relief
Fascial stretch therapy is a form of manual therapy to improve mobility and flexibility by focusing on the connective tissue system rather than isolated muscle treatment. Your therapist will assess your range of motion in functional positions and through a variety of movements. This information will help to identify the regions with restrictions and/or pain that will benefit from facial stretch therapy.
What to expect with FST
At For Health’s Sake, our therapist will perform a comprehensive evaluation to identify the factors affecting your tension and pain. In many cases, your therapist will perform fascial stretch therapy in conjunction with specific exercises that improve your function without aggravating your pain.
Our therapists are here to answer any questions you have, and we will work with you to ensure you find the relief you are looking for and get back to doing what you love!
