“Do I need therapy?” We get this question a lot.
Ultimately, therapy aka Psychotherapy is about growth and creating opportunities for positive change.
So, does everyone need therapy? Of course not. But whether we need therapy is usually the wrong way to look at things. The better way to approach the question of trying therapy is whether or not we could benefit from it.
Fundamentally, therapy is about mental health, and health means a lot more than feeling less badly. It means growth, resilience, understanding, and strength.
What can therapy help with? (here are a few of many examples)
- Understanding how the way we think about things affects our moods and emotions
- Clarifying our values and strategizing about the most effective path toward them
- Learning to communicate directly and assertively in relationships or the workplace
- Building self-confidence in social situations
- Acquiring more effective parenting skills and techniques
- Working through complicated grief or loss
- Motivational Interviewing
Why choose FOR HEALTH’S SAKE for therapy?
We currently have a team of 5 amazing Psychotherapists who offer a variety of therapy styles. FHS is not an online platform where any and all Mental Health Therapists can join (like most other mental health platforms), but rather we personally interview and decide who can be a part of our team.
Similar to our Physical Therapy team, we hold a high level of professionalism and accountability from our Therapists. We require certain educational backgrounds, continuing education, as well as supervision.
Additionally, we have our more senior Mental Health Therapists on our team provide a second interview to ask more clinical questions to ensure outstanding quality and knowledge in the field.
We also provide FREE phone consultations with all of our Therapists so that you can meet them ahead of time to ensure they are the right fit for you.
Our goal is to take away the stress of finding a Therapist.
By supporting clinics that offer both mental health and physical health we are normalizing and breaking the barrier down around therapy.
We look forward to being a part of your mental health journey.
